FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Approval of an environmental impact statement (EIS) clearing the way for thinning 600,000 acres of Arizona forest is an important step toward reducing the threat of catastrophic wildfires, U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick said.
