WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. - Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. was returned to authority early Monday evening after a Window Rock District Court judge issued a permanent injunction against the Navajo Nation Council resolution that placed Shirley on administrative leave since Oct. 26 - essentially declaring the law the council used null and void for all time.
