On Nov. 9, Timothy L. Nuvangyaoma carried 969 votes for the title of chairman of the Hopi Tribe. Clark W. Tenakhongva had 949 votes beating out Lamar Keevama for vice chairman of the Hopi Tribe.

A national record came to a screeching halt when Hopi High boys cross country fell to Northland Prep from Flagstaff at the Division 4 state cross country meet Nov. 3 at Cave Creek Golf Course in Phoenix.

However, the Office of the President and Vice President (OPVP) disagrees strongly with this sentiment and gave a shout out to the work of the Navajo Nation Christian Response Team helping the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
