On Nov. 9, Timothy L. Nuvangyaoma carried 969 votes for the title of chairman of the Hopi Tribe. Clark W. Tenakhongva had 949 votes beating out Lamar Keevama for vice chairman of the Hopi Tribe.
Led by Maya Smith’s fourth individual state championship in a row, Northland Prep from Flagstaff won its third girls cross country state championship in four years. Hopi High placed second.
