FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — The Navajo-Hopi Observer welcomes Winn Mike as its new account executive for the Native Lifestyle & Value Guide.

Mike has been in Flagstaff for four years and before that she lived in Winslow for about 15 years. She was raised in Whitecone, Arizona, which is a few miles northeast of Dilkon.

She will cover the west side of Flagstaff, Winslow, Holbrook and the reservation.

Mike has over 10 years’ experience in sales. Her previous job was in car sales.

She said she likes sales because it keeps her busy and she gets the opportunity to meet a lot of people and businesses.

“[In the guide] people can promote their businesses or tell a story or hire people,” Mike said. “You get to know all kinds of people.”

She wants people to know there are a lot of people who can be touched by the Native Lifestyle & Value Guide because of where it will be delivered. The guide will go out to more than 21,000 people on the western side of the reservation.

“Somebody’s going to read the [guide],” she said. “People who are hiring can benefit from that, or people who are selling something. Medical transportation is huge right now and those people can really benefit from this because they are competitive right now because there are so many.”

Mike also said the little communities out on the reservation can benefit as well by announcing they are doing events for the chapter and the community. She said there are many small businesses, in a home or along the road. Those people could all benefit from the Native Lifestyle & Value Guide.

“Sometimes the radio is not working, sometimes batteries die, sometimes there is no electricity,” Mike said. “They have the paper and also the guide. I think more people can be touched. This is free. People will take it and read it and will still benefit from it. That’s is what I want out there.”

Mike can be reached at (928) 310-9072 or advertising@nabuyguide.com.
