Tuba City Christmas Tree lighting event Nov. 18

Tuba City will host its Christmas Tree lighting Nov. 18 starting at 5 p.m. at the Tuba City Hogan restaurant parking lot. The theme is ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree’ and free hot chocolate and cooks will be provided. This year the little kids will do the count down to the lighting of the tree. All kids are invited. to help light the tree with Santa Claus

Whether you stop by to enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies, watch some entertainment with Firerock Country Band... or just hang out to watch all the smiles and laughter... Don’t forget a camera...

There will be time for some meet and greet with Ronald McDonald, Sparky the Fire Dog and Coke Bear... Don’t forget Miss Western Teen or the Navajo Nation Vice-President Jonathan Nez.. Most importantly, don’t forget about Mr. and Mrs Santa Claus... so come on out for the annual lighting of the community Christmas Tree.

Hiring Day Nov. 16 at Navajo County McDonald’s restaurants

Navajo County McDonald’s restaurants are hosting Hiring Day, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Nov. 16 seeking to hire new employees.

McDonald’s crew and managers are eligible for benefits including Archways to Opportunity, which helps employees learn English-language skills, obtain a high school diploma and move on to an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.

The new job openings will include both full-time and part-time crew and manager positions. Phoenix and northern Arizona McDonald’s restaurants will be hiring 3,000 employees.
