Country Western Dance/fundraiser in Kykotsmovi April 16

A country western dance featuring The Hopi Clansman will take place April 16 at the Hopi Mission School in Kykotsmovi from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. This is a drug and alcohol free event and a fundraiser sponsored by the Hopi Law Day Committee 2016. All proceeds go toward Law Day, which takes place May 13.

Notice of Office Closure April 14 - Department of Self Reliance

The Navajo Nation Department of Self Reliance would like to give its customers and the public a courtesy notice that all offices will close for one day April 14 to allow staff to attend a mandatory training.

All offices will reopen and continue normal business hours April 15.

Walk of Hope community event April 21- 23

Native Americans for Community Action invites the community to help raise suicide awareness by attending the Walk of Hope April 21-23.

In the state of Arizona suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 15-34.

The Walk of Hope is an event that represents one's journey - a series of small steps filled with hope and a remainder that no one should have to walk this journey alone. Three events will take place across northern Arizona in Leupp, Tuba City and Flagstaff.

In Leupp - at 2:30 (MST) at the Leupp Community Center;

In Tuba City - at 5:30 p.m. (MST) at the Moenkopi Legacy Inn & Suites, 1 Legacy Lane, Tuba City;

In Flagstaff - 8:30 a.m. (MST) at Buffalo Park, 2400 N. Gemini Rd., Flagstaff.
