Winslow Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony Friday

WINSLOW, Ariz. - This year's Sept. 11 remembrance program in Winslow begins at 5 p.m. with a speakers recepetion at the Winslow Visitor Center that includes State Sen. Carlyle Begay and Arizona House Rep. Jennifer Benally. At 6 p.m a gathering takes place at the 9-11 memorial at 2100 E. Second St.

Hopi Jr./Sr. High ROTC will present the of colors, Hays Sisters will sing the national anthem followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Boyd will speak, Dee Rodriguez and Lani White will place a wreath, Mike Mc Gee will play bagpipes. Begay and Benally will speak as well.

Ken Evans II will close the ceremony with a lights tribute by emergency service vehicles.
