WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow Arts Council, with the help of PT's Bar owner Mark Dragoo, put on a tattoo convention Oct. 24. The Inkfest took place at PT's Bar, which has a patio area for family and friends, kids included. The event started at 1 p.m. and ended at 10 p.m., but kids were ushered out long before 7 p.m. when the band fired up.

Family time took place from 1-5 p.m., with five tables set up for coloring, which included prizes.

A number of tattoo artists inked customers. Many wanted a tattoo addition and others wanted a new tattoo. Some tattoo studios were unable to attend Inkfest so they sent representatives with sample books of tattoo designs available from their establishment. Many tattoo practitioners enjoyed the opportunity to talk shop with their fellow craftsmen. Children were excited about the aura and mystery of tattoo culture. The venue's parking lot was full all day and evening with around 800 people attending the day-long event.
