To the editor:
On May 18 our family experienced a tragic loss - our precious daughters,
Halie and Madison Neztsosie, left us and journeyed on into the spirit world. We were stunned by this sudden event and all the ensuing emotions, commotion and anguish.
Right at the beginning of this chaotic event, people stepped up to help our sister and her family. From the people assisting at the accident site, to the kind gentleman offering his cell phone to make important calls. We were assisted with help from local law enforcement, first responders, and kind hospital staff, all helping with the utmost concern and tact. This continued with a tremendous outpouring of love and support from family, friends, relatives and various communities near and far.
This show of concern and love included Craig and Olivia Johnson for the beautiful caskets, Kyle Mann and Randi Sandoval for the lovely custom made outfits. We were overwhelmed with the continued donations from: Vasco Construction, Matrix Construction, All-Star Grand Canyon Tours, Cameron Trading Post, Tuba City Chapter, Richfield Residential Hall Staff, South Sevier High School, Tuba City St. Jude's organization and Page Dam Bar and Grill.
Halie and Madison attended Tuba City Boarding School and they were loved and valued schoolmates as shown through the school's donations and fundraising activities.
Many families supported our family with generous donations and a special thank you to the Yellowhorse family for the floral arrangements to soften and beautify the solemn occasion.
We are so grateful for all the food and service donations, to Anderson Neztsosie, Delma Begay and the rest of the Neztsosie family for not hesitating to take charge of the grand task of feeding the attendees. Our appreciation to Walter Bighorse, Sr. and Irene Tsosie for delivering the heartfelt eulogies and all the numerous acts of kindness, love and support, however small or seemingly insignificant.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We can't help but recognize the importance of family and the coming together of community to assist us in overcoming this sorrowful passing of our daughters. We truly could not have completed this task without everyones help. Thank You.
Wilfred and Geneva Neztsosie with Nathan, Tyler, Tristenn, and Cameron.
