Winslow cross country teams to compete in 10 invitational meets

WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow High School cross country teams will start their season at home in the Dave Conatser Invitational Meet Aug. 29 at 9 a.m. 

Terri Little, who coached last season, will continue this year.

The team's second meet is the Hopi Invitational at Polacca Sept. 1 and slated for a 3 p.m. start.

The third meet is the Peaks Invitational at Flagstaff Sept. 5. This and all the rest of the meets scheduled have starting times to be announced at a later date.

The Wildcat Invitational at Chinle High School is scheduled for Sept. 12. The Four Corners Invitational in Flagstaff will take place Sept. 19.

The Shane Morris Invitational at Blue Ridge High School in Pinetop is Sept. 26.

On Oct. 2 the teams will journey to Casa Grande to participate in the Desert Twilight Invitational.

On Oct. 10 the Winslow teams will journey to Tuba City for the Bud Davis Invitational.

On Oct. 17 they will go to Snowflake for the Snowflake Invitational. The Holbrook Invitational is Oct. 23 at the Hidden Cove Golf Course.

The sectional finals will take place Oct. 30 or 31. The state finals will take place at Cave Creek Nov. 7.
