The seventh annual cancer cure fundraiser in Winslow took place Oct. 11. The starting line, finish line and registration station were at Winslow Ford on Mike's Pike. Participants could run, walk, pull and push either 5 kilometers or 10 kilometers. People won prizes and raffle items. Baked goods were on sale. Pink Ribbon Products were available for purchase. People gave testimonials. The Winslow Women's Club and the Winslow Cancer Support Group, which supports local cancer patients with transportation, counseling, baby sitting, and vouchers for necessities, sponsored the event.
