Guest column: More thoughts on Thanksgiving
Many people look forward to Thanksgiving Day, especially me. Thanksgiving is a national holiday that I hope everyone participates in. I love Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving because it's a day where your family comes together and that's something to cherish. Be glad that you have a family. It's a time to have fun and make memories with your family, so take advantage of it.
Football is another reason why I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving. In our house, we invite our family members over. The guys watch football and the girls and ladies cook. It all works out because the guys stay out of the way. That's why the NFL always has games on Thanksgiving so the guys will not interrupt our cooking. This Thanksgiving Day there are three games happening: the Bears vs. Lions, Eagles vs. Cowboys and Seahawks vs. 49ers. All I'm hoping for is the Cowboys to lose because I dislike the Cowboys.
The main reason why I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving is the food. Just thinking about it is making me feel like I'm starving. Most people pig out on Thanksgiving. I know I am. My favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving is olives, turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. It's great sharing a meal with you family.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I can't wait till our family gets together. Having your family together is one of the best feelings in the world. You should be thankful to have your family. That's what Thanksgiving is all about. I can't wait till Thanksgiving comes.
