Workplace violence seminar in Chinle Aug. 21

A seminar on preventing workplace violence will take place Aug. 21 in Chinle at the Chinle Navajo Tribal Utility Authority Conference room from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The seminar will cover the following topics: understanding workplace violence, warning signs of violence, how to defuse explosive situations and policies and practices that prevent risk.

The registration fee is $295 per person.

The ballpark comes to Winslow

Friends of the Library invite area residents to enjoy music and fun with Bobby Freeman, official organist of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The event takes place Aug. 4 in downtwon Winslow in Route 66 Plaza Park next to the Corner.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs to the event.
