WINSLOW, Ariz. - The first Skate Night, with a DJ and raffle featuring multiple prizes, took place at Winslow Skateboard Park July 11. The Standing On The Corner Foundation sponsored the event that included a food drive as well. In order to obtain a raffle ticket, each participant bought a can of food, which will go to the St. Vincent DePaul local food office. Ten raffle prizes were given out during the event. Participants and viewers numbered about 200.

The foundation will put on three more of these Skate Night events before the Winslow Sept. 26-27 Standin' On The Corner Festival. Those interested in helping with the events can call Sabrina Butler at (480) 326-2754.
