The Winslow Strength and Conditioning Program is based on strength to develop strong, stable, powerful and efficient athletes. Winslow student-athletes and the strength and conditioning teacher have very high expectations. Much of what the students do in the weight-room is designed to seamlessly integrate with the mission of the school while striving for athletic excellence. The program achieves these measured athletic qualities from the use of Olympic lifts and their variations along with other exercises. After testing, seven student athletes have entered the 1000-Pound Club. Maximum effort lifts are combined and must be over 1000 pounds to enter the club. Leading the group, senior Kelly Wood had a combined total of 1,455 pounds. Pictured front row from left: C.J. Chacon, Adrian Montoya, James Martinez, Kelly Wood and Daniel Lopez.
