Indian Wells dominates cross country meet

Indian Wells has reached the halfway point for fall sports. Indian Wells played host to a cross country meet Sept. 25 and took first place in all five divisions (PeeWee, JV Girls/Boys, and Varsity Girls/Boys). Top runners for the meet were Alex Begay (Pee Wee), FeatherRain Nez (JV Girls), Jessica Todacheenie (Varsity Girls), and Hampton Olney (Varsity Boys). The Indian Wells volleyball and football teams have performed flawlessly the first half of the season, not dropping one game to their opponents. Lead volleyball players are Ryel RunningHawk and Brianna Miles. Nathan Billie and newcomers Myron Begay, Anthony Nelson and Oshkee Yazzie are playing well for the football team. Coaches, athletes and parents look forward to an equally successful second half of the season.
