2013 Winslow Food Drive a two-ton success
On Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. Winslow High School students, Boy Scout Troop No. 50, Elks Club members and Rotary Club members spread out to the four corners of Winslow in search of non-perishable food donations. By 5:30 p.m. the results were in and the combined forces collected more than 4,000 pounds of food. The groups will donate the food to people in Winslow through the St Vincent dePaul food bank and the Elks' annual holiday food distribution effort.
