The Winslow Fire Department, Winslow Police Chief and about 50 friends and family members dedicated a bronze statue at Winslow's Hayden Walton Sports Complex in November. Hayden was a Winslow boy who loved baseball and drag racing. At age 13 he was struck in the chest by a Little League pitch and died on the field. The tragedy occurred in May of 2011 in this same sports complex where he is now memorialized. The Winslow Hayden Walton Sports Complex now features a bronze statue of Hayden in his Little League uniform including his bat and glove.
