Winslow High School Top Dawgs for week of Aug. 12
WINSLOW, Ariz. - Winslow High School (WHS) faculty and staff nominate Top Dawg students each week for academic success and exemplary behavior outside the classroom.
Terrell Jodie: Nominated by John Weekley for demonstrating outstanding High Standard and Success expectations in the classroom. He is well prepared for class, and accountable.
Abby Rogers: Nominated by Meg Hughart for standing up to bullying. She helps her peers when they are in need and is an excellent example of a student who upholds the WHS Wisdom, High Standards and Success expectations.
Ira Molina: Nominated by Tom Breeze for demonstrating integrity by returning other student's misplaced property.
Carmen Nells: Nominated by Ricky Greer for demonstrating the classroom expectations extremely well. By believing success is possible, using time wisely and always being prepared to learn, Carmen scored the only A on the chapter 1 biology test.
Leo Bia: Nominated by Jessica deMontfort for setting a great example in class. Leo came to class prepared to learn, and believes success is possible which is why he performed so well on each of the chapter 1 assignments.
Tristan Van Arsdale: Nominated by Chris Gilmore for demonstrating Wisdom, High Standards and Success on campus by helping out his peers when they were in need.
KC Clay: Nominated by Nicole Buonviri for just being an all-around positive example for his peers. He is well prepared for class, and is extremely helpful to others both in and out of the classroom.
Arianna McKinnely: Nominated by Nicole Buonviri. She is very helpful to her peers, and has demonstrated the WHS Wisdom, High Standard, and Success expectations extremely well.
John Stacey: Nominated by Julie Thomas for being an excellent example of what it means to succeed in the classroom. John is well prepared for class and has been doing a great job.
Wintre Smith: Nominated by Karen Crain for setting an excellent example and upholding the WHS Wisdom, High Standard and Success expectations. She is a wonderful helper and is always willing to work hard.
Selena Jaramillo: Nominated by Deana McKinney for having a positive attitude every day, coming to class prepared to give her best and always being willing to help students in the classroom.
Jessica Lewis: Nominated by Andrew Watson for upholding the WHS Wisdom, High Standard, and Success behavior expectations. Jessica has been working very hard in class and definitely believes that she can succeed.
Bryce Barris: Nominated by Daniel Tafoya for being a model student in agriculture. When the class worked on the garden last week Bryce spent the entire class period pulling all of the weeds in the garden area and picking up trash, which is an excellent example of how students can uphold the WHS Wisdom, High Standard and Success expectations.
Christian Evans: Nominated by Rob Curtis for being an excellent example of our Wisdom, High Standard, and Success expectations. He hasn't missed a day of class, has been well prepared to learn and applies himself to be successful.
Ashlinn Thermen: Nominated by Shayna Richards for working hard and going above and beyond to succeed. She is also very helpful to her peers.
Jordan Sawyer:Nominated by Nicole Buonviri for being an excellent example to her peers. Jordan has really gone above and beyond to uphold the WHS Wisdom, High Standard, and Success expectations both in and out of the classroom.
Tres Cake: Nominated by Sal Hernandez for demonstrating superior High Standard expectations as he proceeded to pick up trash in and around the student union and plaza. He was not asked to do so, he took initiative and served as an excellent example to his peers.
Michael Johnson: Nominated by Art Griffith for being an excellent example of upholding the Success standards in the classroom. He works hard, comes to class prepared and has a positive attitude.
Leah Lammey: Nominated by Candace Hartman for being an outstanding student in vocal ensemble. Leah definitely upholds the WHS Wisdom, High Standard and Success expectations.
Michaela Winslow: Nominated by Candace Hartman for being an excellent example to her peers and upholding WHS classroom expectations in women's choir.
