North area grid teams have tough going

The Winslow Bulldogs tasted defeat for the first time this season with an 18-10 loss to the Flagstaff Eagles in Winslow on Friday. The Bulldogs will play at Ganado this Friday against the Ganado Hornets. The Hornets defeated the Hopi Bruins 46-22 at Ganado on Friday.

The Window Rock Fighting Scouts also lost for the first time this season, falling to the St. Johns Redskins 56-6 at St, Johns. The Scouts will host the Holbrook Roadrunners this Friday. Holbrook's score against the Alchesay Falcons was not available at press time.

The Hopi Bruins will host the Tuba City Warriors at Polacca this Friday. The Warriors lost to the Sedona Red Rock Scorpions 23-0 on Friday at Tuba City.

The Show Low Cougars also fell from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 28-6 loss to the Round Valley Elks in Eagar on Friday. The Cougars will face the Snowflake Lobos this Friday at Show Low.

The Snowflake Lobos tasted defeat for the first time, too, with a 50-0 thumping from the top ranked Blue Ridge Yellowjackets at Snowflake on Friday.

Blue Ridge continued to be undefeated and will face the tough Round Valley Elks at Pinetop this Friday in one of the top contests of the week.

The Flagstaff Coconino Panthers got a big win with their 21-14 victory over the Kingman Bulldogs at Flagstaff on Friday. The Panthers will play at Lake Havasu this Friday.
