Monument Valley, Show Low, Blue Ridge remain undefeated

TUBA CITY, Ariz. - The Monument Valley Mustangs remained undefeated with their 43-8 win over the Tuba City Warriors at Tuba City on Friday. The win kept the Mustangs undefeated along with the top two ranked teams in their division, the Blue Ridge Yellowjackets and the Show Low Cougars. The Mustangs have Red Mesa coming to Kayenta on Friday in what should be another victory. After entertaining the Ganado Hornets in another game the Mustangs will be favored to win they have a real test against the Winslow Bulldogs in Winslow on Oct. 19 and a regular season finale against the Window Rock Fighting Scouts at Window Rock.

The Show Low Cougars stayed undefeated with a 52-8 win over the Holbrook Roadrunners at Show Low on Thursday. The Cougars will host the Winslow Bulldogs on Friday in a game with playoff implications. Winslow lost to the Snowflake Lobos 43-17 at Winslow on Friday.

The Blue Ridge Yellowjackets pounded the St. Johns Redskins 45-0 at Pinetop on Friday to remain undefeated. The Yellowjackets will meet the Alchesay Falcons at Whiteriver on Friday.

The Snowflake Lobos defeated the Winslow Bulldogs 43-17 in a game at Winslow that was closer than the score indicated. Both teams have a 4-2 record but Snowflake's two losses are to top ranked Blue Ridge and Show Low. The Lobos will host the Page Sand Devils on Friday. Page is 2-4 after a 49-13 loss to the Williams Vikings in Page on Friday.

The Chinle Wildcats defeated the Window Rock Scouts 26-12 at Chinle on Friday. Chinle will be at Many Farms on Friday to meet the Lobos who had five straight losses going into Friday's game with Rough Rock Community School for which no score was available.

The Ganado Hornets defeated the Red Mesa Redskins 50-32 at Red Mesa to improve to 3-3 with Red Rock Community School coming up Friday at Ganado.

The Coconino Panthers lost to the Mingus Marauders 28-17 at Flagstaff on Friday. Coconino will play the Tuba City Warriors at Tuba City on Friday. The loss dropped Coconino to 4-2 for the season.
