Jail-A-Thon arrestees clean up weeds at Winslow High School to pay their bail.

WINSLOW, Ariz.- The Criminal Justice Club at Winslow High School (WHS) is working hard to raise money to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator. Once the money is raised, the Criminal Justice Club will donate it to WHS.

Last week, the members of the club put together and held a Jail-A-Thon fundraiser at WHS. Students purchased warrants to have their classmates arrested. Once they were arrested, they had to raise bail money or donate community service hours around the school.

The event was a huge success. Over 80 warrants were issued and students worked hard on raising bail money or cleaning up around the school.
