Winslow Bulldog wrestlers defeat Window Rock Scouts

Bulldogs return to mats January 9 to take on the Page Sand Devils

The Winslow High School wrestling team defeated Window Rock 64-18 in a dual match held in Winslow Dec. 19.

Blane Foster of Winslow won the 106-pound match by forfeit. Tyrail Smith of Winslow also won by forfeit in the 113-pound match. David Archibeque of Winslow won the 120-pound match by forfeit as well.

Cristoff Keyonnie of Winslow pinned Ethan Antone of Window Rock in the 126-pound match. In the 132-pound match, Daniel Lopez of Winslow pinned Juan Jesus of Window Rock. In the 138-pound match, Chad Edgmon of Winslow pinned Quinten Baldwin of Window Rock. Adrian Montoya of Winslow won a major decision 12-2 in the 145-pound match over Ike Owens of Window Rock.

In the 152-pound match, James Martinez of Winslow pinned Pashen Quintana of Window Rock. In the 160-pound match Jack Fela of Winslow won by forfeit. In the 170-pound match, Jace Hardy of Winslow pinned Andres Lonebear of Window Rock. In the 182-pound match, Jacob Huddleston of Winslow pinned Zander Dale of Window Rock. Jeremy Jesus of Window Rock pinned Chad Colvin of Winslow in the 195-pound match. In the 220-pound match, Brad Kaamasee of Window Rock pinned Justin Brinkley of Winslow. Nicholas Seanez of Window Rock pinned Erick Nelson of Winslow in the 285-pound match.

The match was Winslow's last of the 2012 portion of the wrestling schedule. The Bulldogs are slated to return to the mats Jan. 9 for a dual meet with the Page Sand Devils at Page. That match is the last match before the Doc Wright Invitational, Winslow's premier wrestling event, Jan. 11-12.
