A stunning selection of decorated Christmas trees decorated the main room of Hubbell Chamber of Commerce in Winslow, Ariz. until Dec. 9. Community members bid to purchase one of the trees. About 25 trees were available to choose from, each decorated and donated by local businesses, individuals, government agencies and Winslow Chamber of Commerce members. After December 9, officials unsealed the bids and announced the winners. Winners could then claim the tree for the display location of their choosing. Money donated to purchase trees goes to local charities. The quality of the trees was exceptional and the decorations were beautiful, exhibiting a variety of creative themes. For example, the Walmart tree was decorated with hand painted and hand sewn Native American art graphics. The Winslow State Prison theme was Rock & Roll and the Winslow Library had a genealogy theme depicting the UK Royal Family and included a book gift on genealogy as well. This event takes place every December at the Chamber of Commerce Center.
