Winslow City Council meeting highlights
WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow City Council met on Aug. 14. Highlights of the meeting include -
Allan Rosenbaum provided updates on the South Side's new waterline, which is going through final testing. The city is investigating some old cast iron pipes waterlines still in service on Third Street.
Curbside recycling is being planned with Waste Management.
Pet Finders is going to donate $1,600 worth of dog calming vests for homeless animals.
Judge Kolometz presented her quarterly report, which was unchanged from her last report.
City council actions included -
Approval of $11,000 in funds for a large emergency pump.
Approved up to $3,000 in funding towards the Just Cruis'n Car Show.
ApproveD $4,400 in financial support for the Standin' On The Corner Festival.
Approved and supported the Little Colorado Medical Center's agreement with the state for reimbursement for treating patients with no money.
Appointed Ken Evans to Volunteer Firefighter Retirement Board.
