Tuba City Community Fund announces grant opportunities

TUBA CITY, Ariz. - The Tuba City Community Fund (TCCF) invites community organizations to apply for funding during its 2012 open competitive grant cycle. Grant applications will be available by request beginning March 14.

The TCCF provides annual grant funding to organizations working to benefit and preserve the local community. Nonprofit organizations, schools, government agencies and Tribal entities serving the greater Tuba City area are all eligible to apply for grants.

Organizations may apply for funding to support general operations, staffing or new, existing or expanded programs. Funding will be focused on the areas of environmental education and conservation, youth, education, health care, social services, arts and culture and victim services.

Applicants must prove financial viability and lasting value, and are required to possess certified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. Applicants must also submit a copy of their IRS determination letter and their Form 990 or audited financial statement.

To request an application, contact Pats Shriver, grants and operations coordinator, at (928) 526-1956 or pshriver@azfoundation.org. Grant applications and all supporting materials must be postmarked no later than April 18.

The TCCF is a collection of endowed funds managed by the Arizona Community Foundation, a nonprofit, tax-exempt philanthropy serving communities across the state through four regional offices. The TCCF secures, manages and allocates donors' gifts for charitable purposes in the area while working to improve the quality of life for local residents. Its annual grant cycle is managed by the Flagstaff Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation.
