WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow Bulldogs defeated the Ganado Hornets   52-12 in Winslow on Friday. The win kept the Bulldogs undefeated after four games. Ganado fell to 1-3 for the season.

The Bulldogs dominated the game with 265 yards in total offense while giving up only 114 to the Hornets most of those coming in the second half against the Winslow reserves.

The Bulldogs failed to score on their first possession but made up for that in their next five chances to build a 34-0 half time lead. Kelly Wood returned a pass interception 34 yards for the score with 8:21 left in the first period for a u-0 lead after Jonathan Oso booted the conversion. Henry Montiel returned a punt 55 yards with 6:47 left in the quarter and the conversion gave the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead. The final score of the first period came on a 34 yard pass from James Martinez to Henry Montiel with 4:04 left in the period. The conversion failed and Winslow led 20-0 at the end of the quarter.

The James Martinez to Henry Montiel combination scored for the second time in the game on an 18 yard pass with 11:20 left in the half. The conversion increased the lead to 27-0. James Martinez ran a yard for the final score of the first half with 6:31 left on the clock. The conversion increased the half time lead to 34-0. Winslow failed to score on its next possession for only the second time in the first half.

Caleb Layden got the first score of the second half on 12 yard run. The conversion failed and Winslow led 40-0.

Ganado got on the scoreboard on a 90 yard return of the kickoff by Shiloh Wallace. The two point conversion try failed and the Bulldogs still held a comfortable 40-6 lead.

Kelly Wood ran 14 yards to score with 5:12 left in the third quarter and increased the Winslow lead to 46-6 after the conversion failed. The Bulldogs defense scored for the second time of the night when Jude Oso intercepted a pass and returned it 38 yards for the score. Again the conversion failed and Winslow led 52-6.

Ganado scored on a fourth down 18 yard pass from Darrell Bolling to Liam Morris. The conversion failed and Winslow still led with just over two minutes left to play. The Hornets got the ball back on a fumble, threatened but could not score as Winslow walked away with a 52-12 victory.

The Bulldogs will journey to Chinle on Friday to meet the Chinle Wildcats at 6 p.m. Chinle. The Wildcats started strong with wins over Monument Valley 28-7, Ganado 48-6 and Page 29-25. Chinle met the St. Johns Redskins on Friday in a tough test and lost for the first time by a whopping 51-7 score.  The Wildcats may be the toughest challenge
