WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will install two new traffic signals on Williamson Avenue at the intersections of Second and Third Streets. Some additional enhancements that will be included as part of this project includes sidewalk repair, new pavement and new curbs.

Drivers are reminded to slow down, proceed through the work zone with caution, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

The intersection of Williamson Avenue and Second Street will be closed for five weeks beginning tomorrow through Aug. 10. Additional work will occur after Aug. 10, but traffic lanes will be open at this intersection.

Emergency vehicles will have access through the construction zone at all times. The intersection of Williamson Avenue and Third Street will remain open.

The underpass on Williamson Ave. will be closed for two and one-half weeks. During the closure, motorists will be detoured through Coopertown. Additional traffic control signs will be placed in Coopertown and the speed limit will be reduced to 15 miles per hour.
