On Sept. 11, the annual 9-11 Memorial Service was held at Winslow's First Street Park to remember and honor the victims. Music was provided by the Winslow High School Band. A number of speakers were featured, including Mayor Robin Boyd. Girl Scout Troop 2048 also presented a U.S. flag, which was flown at half staff until midnight. Color Guard was provided by the Winslow American Legion and the Winslow Police Department. The end of the ceremony was marked by a rifle salute to the victims of 9-11 along with closing songs by the Hays sisters and the band.
