Winslow Bulldogs reap All 3A North Region Rewards

WINSLOW, Ariz. - The Winslow Bulldogs reaped an abundance of All 3A North Region honors when All Region selections were announced recently. Senior running back Wendell Carter was named the 3A North Region Offensive Player of the Year. Coach Rusty Robertson was selected as the Regional Coach of the Year. Kelen Simeona of Chinle was named the 3A North Region Defensive Player of the Year and was the most honored player not a member of the Bulldogs. He was an outstanding player for the Chinle Wildcats.

Winslow also placed seniors Kraig Shirley, Rhett Hardy, Payden Zufelt and Bubba Cuellar on the 3A North Region first team Offensive unit. Bulldogs on the 3A North Region All Defensive unit were seniors Jevon Estelle, Rhett Hardy, Bubba Cuellar, Kraig Shirley and junior Brennan James.

Other members of the 3A North Region Offensive unit first team were juniors Jalen Jackson and Rueben Kee of Holbrook, seniors Preston Parrish and Alan Todachine of Monument Valley, Stewart Yazzie of Chinle, Benton Begay of Ganado and Nick Davis of Window Rock.

Other members of the All 3A North Region Defensive unit first team were juniors Rashaun Baldwin, James Self and Caleb Layden of Holbrook, seniors Dakota Way, Preston Bronston and Irwin Kaye of Monument Valley and Nathan Tsosie of Chinle.

Honorable Mention offensive players were junior Brennan James and senior John Estrada of Winslow, Jamerine White and Ilacian Johnson of Holbrook, Paige Begay and Kameron Isaac of Monument Valley, Zachary Chee and Zachary Begay of Chinle, Ephraim Friday and Christian Todacheenie of Ganado, Ty Wauneka and Tomas Billiman of Window Rock and Jeffry Begay and Shane Jim of Tuba City.

Honorable Mention defensive players were senior Wendell Carter and freshman James Martinez of Winslow, Troy Guy and Ryan Baldanado of Holbrook, Kameron Isaac and Justin Succo of Monument Valley, Nikela Simeona and Shammeil Yazzie of Chinle, Robertson Gorman and Leslie Nez of Ganado, Shelby Tully and Clyde Gillis of Window Rock and Tyler slim and Kendrick Thunderhawk of Tuba City.
