WINSLOW, Ariz. - You know summer is here because hot-rods from all over the U.S. visit Winslow. On June 15, five gentlemen from the east coast stayed at the La Posada Hotel and toured Winslow during their trip from the Atlantic Ocean to Santa Monica, Calif. There were four cars in immaculate condition touring historic Route 66.

They had a photograph taken at Standin' On The Corner with the statue of Don Henley.

From there, the quartet cruised over to Big Lowry's Hot Rod Shop on Hicks Street. As hot-rod brethren (since one of their party owned a hot-rod shop in Maryland) the visitors were all given a tour. They were impressed with Andy Lowry's shop and his car building skills.
