Bulldogs beat up on Holbrook Roadrunners, 12-2

HOLBROOK, Ariz. - The Winslow Bulldogs defeated the Holbrook Roadrunners 12-2 in a 3A North Region baseball game played in Holbrook on April 6. The win left the Bulldogs with an 11-4 record for the season.

Ty Hancock got the win in relief of Anthony Huerta.

The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning on singles by Levi Smith, Sedale Flanagan and Bubba Cuellar and a walk. Holbrook got two of those runs back in the bottom of the second on two walks and singles by Castillo and Baldanado.

Winslow put the game on ice in the top of the fourth inning when they scored nine runs on six hits, four walks and two errors. Levi Smith had a double and Huerta, Hancock, Tommy Gomez, Jevon Estelle and Matthew Smith had singles.

Huerta and Vittorio Sells were two for two with Sells having a double. Gomez and Levi Smith were two for three with Smith having a double. Matthew Smith was two for four. Cuellar was one for two.  Hancock was one for three. Estelle was one for four.

The Bulldogs will play Show Low and Monument Valley on Friday at Show Low and Saturday in Winslow.
