Hopi Abandoned Mine Lands Rental Program

The Hopi AML Program is pleased to announce the purchase and arrival of new heavy equipment that will enhance services of the AML Heavy Equipment Rental Program. Recently arrived equipment include, a 672 D Motor grader, a 544 J front end loader, a 310 SJ backhoe and a Tow Master transport trailer.

The Hopi AML Rental Program has been providing heavy equipment rental services to the Hopi and Navajo people and general contractors to improve area homes and communities. Current services provided by the program include home site preparation, i.e., leveling, digging of footings; road maintenance; hazardous waste removals; above and underground storage tank removals; gravel/coal hauling and other work requiring use of heavy equipment.

The rental program operates on a "revolving account" basis with rental payments going back into the account to pay operator salaries and equipment maintenance/fuel costs. Other equipment available through the rental program includes three Peterbilt side dumps; a 2,000 gallon water truck with a sprayer and cement mixers.

Flexible payment plans for services are available and electronic debit/charge payments are accepted. Rental prices are very reasonable in comparison to those offered by other nearby heavy equipment rental programs. The AML Rental Program staff appreciates your support.

For rental services, contact the AML Office at (928) 734-7145/7146. The AML Rental Program is located on the north side of Highway 264 near mile marker 374.
