CCC celebrates a year of accomplishments

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - During Coconino Community College's Strategic Plan Retreat held June 4, college leadership celebrated accomplishments for the first year of the three-year Strategic Plan.

Among the successes are internal efficiencies such as the development of a recession plan; ways to maximize revenue including renting college space; and maximizing technology in education by improving access and delivery of distance learning.

Some sub-goals were identified to be continued into FY 2010 including student e-mail and college participation in key county organizations.

The Employee Satisfaction Survey will be conducted this October in joint cooperation with Human Resources and Institutional Research.

"This was an incredibly ambitious first year of the plan and I am honored and grateful to be part of a college that is capable of achieving so much," said CCC President Leah Bornstein. "It appears that CCC has accomplished more than 85 percent of the goals identified for FY 2009. Especially in such a challenging year with state budget cuts, I am extremely proud of everyone's efforts."

As a result of the retreat, the Strategic Plan will be updated and available on the Institutional Research Website in July.
