Monument Valley Tribal Park's new Visitor Center will be opened Dec. 9 with stunning interiors including a video/audio room.

MONUMENT VALLEY, Utah - The grand opening date for the newly remodeled Visitor Center at the Monument Valley Tribal Park has changed to Dec. 9.

The grand opening for the Center will start at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day with scheduled activities, including a ribbon cutting, luncheon, tours and a reflection of historical milestones for the park.

Local officials of Monument Valley along with Navajo Parks and Recreation Staff, members from the Resource Committee and Vice President Ben Shelly are scheduled to attend this special event.

Monument Valley Tribal Park was established in 1958 and has over 250,000 visitors a year from all over the world. As one of the improvements planned by Navajo Parks and Recreation Department, this newly complete Visitor Center is an example of long term strategic planning.
