President Shirley honored by Canadian chiefs

Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. (left) receives the highest honor in all of Indian Country. Chief Arnold Big Plume and the Seven Chiefs of Canada transferred rights to possess, wear and dance with the chief's bonnet both in and out of the arena. Shirley was blessed with the rights of the bonnet for Strength in Leadership, Speech, Thought, Sight, and Ability to carry forth the task of a true Native American leader.
