Hopi Jr/Sr High open enrollment

POLACCA, ARIZ. - Hopi Jr/Sr High School is looking for in-boundary and out-of-boundary students.

Registration has been set for July 28-July 31.

Hopi High Principal Glenn Gilman said the school has open enrollment for students wanting to attend.

On July 28, seniors can register from 9 a.m.-noon and juniors can register from 1-3:30 p.m. On July 29, sophomores can register from 9 a.m.-noon and freshman can register from 1-3:30 p.m. On Juy 30, eighth graders can register from 9 a.m.-noon and seventh graders can register from 1-3:30 p.m.

Makeup day is July 31. All students can register from 9 a.m. to noon or from 1-3:30 p.m.

Students should bring their birth certificate, social security card, tribal enrollment card or certificate of Indian blood and updated immunization record.

Sophomores through seniors should bring their unofficial transcripts while seventh through ninth graders should bring their report cards.

Principal Gilman said students should bring their most recent AIMS (Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards) or Terra Nova scores.

Athletes must have their physicals before they can practice. That is a requirement of the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

Hopi Jr/Sr High School is looking for a band teacher, a computer teacher and an English teacher.
