Coconino County fair offers fun for everyone Aug. 29-Sept. 1

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - Labor Day weekend brings the largest high-profile event in northern Arizona. The 59th Coconino County Fair will be held Aug. 29-Sept. 1 at Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff. The fair is open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Aug. 29-31 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 1.

The fair is presented by Findlay Toyota Flagstaff and TUNDRA and is produced by Coconino County Parks and Recreation.

This year's headlines include Casper and the Mighty 601 Band Aug. 29, country legends the Bellamy Brothers on Aug. 30 and Al Hurricane on Aug. 31. Headliner shows begin at 8 p.m.

Recently cited by the Arizona Fairs Association as the largest in northern Arizona and the third largest statewide, the Coconino County Fair offers an array of recreational and educational opportunities for the whole family with three special activity and exhibits areas - arts and culture, conservation and sustainable environment and variety stage, as well as traditional fair exhibits, livestock shows and auction, cultural presentations, a wide variety of commercial and food vendors, carnival, live entertainment and a beer garden. The Livestock Auction by 4-H and FFA begins at 10 a.m. on Sept. 1.

Early bird all day carnival passes ($8 savings per ticket) are available at Coconino County Parks & Recreation while supplies last.

A free shuttle service to and from the fair will be available at McConnell and Pine Knoll Dr. or participate in the CCPR-led nature hike and get on the fair for free.
