Black History Month reception tonight (Wednesday)

In observance of Black History Month, the Coconino County African American Advisory Council is hosting a reception today, Feb. 21, to honor the winners and participants of the 4th Annual Black History Month Essay Contest. 

The reception will begin at 6 p.m., and will be held at the County Administration Building, 219 E. Cherry Avenue, in the first floor meeting room. 

This year's contest theme is "African Americans and their Contributions to the West" and more than 100 students from Flagstaff high schools and middle schools participated.
