TCUSD's 2007 cool, investigative summer school

Tuba City Unified School District provided higher learning through science all summer long for its student population working with Northern Arizona University's Mansel Nelson, who has extensive knowledge about water, its impurities and impacts on local reservation area communities.

Students were able to utilize math, strategic thinking, team building skills and ways to come to scientific summation working on local water sampling projects with NAU and their sponsoring teacher at Eagle's Nest Intermediate School, Shirley Haswood, who coordinated the summer school programs at the TCUSD middle school.
