FLAGSTAFF - Flagstaff Auto Repair, a Flagstaff-based auto repair service company, is offering to donate a free oil change to any person who brings in a toy for the Marines' annual "Toys for Tots" program, which began Nov. 27 and will continue through Dec. 22.
According to Flagstaff Auto Repair owner Howard DeVore, "This year we have decided to join with the Marines and support this worthwhile program. We are hoping to gather hundreds of toys for kids, and our entire staff is excited about this program. Too often people forget that there are children right here in our community that need a little help. I believe that supporting this great program can make a big difference in the lives of hundreds or even thousands of children. We have decided to dedicate our time and resources to this worthy cause. Our clients are excited about it and so are we."
The oil changes will be given free of charge (diesels and synthetic fluids extra) to anyone with a toy for the Toys for Tots program, no strings attached.
"The Flagstaff community has been very good to us. This is simply a way [for us] to give back to the community. We anticipate collecting hundreds of toys and hope that this year's turnout is better than ever," DeVore said.
The donations will be accepted at Flagstaff Auto Repair, 3830 E. Huntington Dr. #9. The toys must be in the original packaging and not wrapped. Donors are asked to contribute toys with a value of at least $10. To take advantage of this special offer call Flagstaff Auto Repair at 928- 526-9159 to schedule an appointment during regular business hours: Monday-Friday, 8a.m. - 5 p.m.
