State Emergency Operations Center Activated in Response to Brins Fire
2-1-1 Disaster Call Center Launched

PHOENIX – On Monday, the State Emergency Operations Center and 2-1-1 Disaster Call Center were activated in response to the ongoing Brins Fire near Sedona in the Coconino National Forest. This is the first time the 2-1-1 Call Center has been activated.

The State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), part of the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs, will coordinate state resources to assist in responding to this fire.

In addition, the 2-1-1 Disaster Call Center launched today to provide Arizonans telephone access to information regarding the Brins Fire, including details on areas being evacuated, road closures and shelter information.

While the SEOC is activated, Arizonans can dial 2-1-1 to hear these updates or to speak live with a call center operator.

Arizonans unable to dial 2-1-1 can call 1-888-GoTo211 (888-468-6211).

Both the 2-1-1 Disaster Call Center and 2-1-1 Online (www.az211.gov) also provide tips on wildfire and emergency preparedness.
