Monument Valley High wrestling

The Monument Valley High School, wrestlers along with more than 300 others from five states, attended the Sand Devil Classic in Page the weekend before last.

Chee BiNali extended his 32-1 record by winning the 135-pound weight class making his current record 36-1. He also was honored as the Outstanding Wrestler and won the Vincent Bryant award for the second year in a row.

The Vincent Bryant award goes to the top athlete in the sport of wrestling. Head coaches at the tournament pick the recipient of the Outstanding Wrestler.

Other Mustang Wrestlers winning matches were: Levaughn Hunt, Ty Sells, Myron Brady. Corgrick Glasses and Samferd Glasses.

Come out and support the Mustang wrestlers on Tuesday as they will host a 5-way meet in the old gym starting at 2 p.m. and the 3A North Regional Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 4 in the SAC starting at noon.
