Sam Bain Jr.

Funeral services were held for Sam Bain Jr., 81 on Jan. 23 in Indian Wells Presbyterian Church.

Sam retired from Santa Fe Railroad.  He was a great carpenter, rancher, and a man of many trades.  He has lived in Indian Wells all his life.

Mr. Bain is Kiiyaa'a 'amii born for Tsenjikini.  His maternal grandfathers are Hon'agha'nii, his paternal grandfathers are Totsonii.

Survivors include his wife, Susie; sons, Stanley, Dicky, and Robert Bain, Leonard Morris; and daughters, Lena Singer, Nellie Long, Marie Bain, and Tina Samm.  There were 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Bain Sr., and Bah Bain, one son, Freddie Bain and one daughter, Marjorie Bain.

Norvel Owens Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
