Juanita Healing

TEWA VILLAGE-Traditional funeral services for Juanita Healing, 90, were held Saturday, Dec. 9, at the family residence in Tewa Village. Burial followed at the Tewa Village Cemetery in Tewa Village.

Juanita passed away on Dec. 6 in Phoenix. She was born on May 15, 1916 to Albert and Ina Yava in Polacca. She retired from the Polacca Day School as a cook for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Juanita was a potter and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Juanita was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Albert and Ina Yava; husband, Dewey Healing; and sisters, Patricia Honie and Sarah Yava.

Arrangements were made under the care of Greer's Mortuary in Winslow.
