<b>Ralph Elde Wickham</b>
A memorial service to remember Ralph Elde "Bish" Wickham, 91 of Lake Pointe Landing, NC who died suddenly Wednesday July 13, 2005 at Pardee Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera E. Wickham, and a daughter, Carole Wickham.
He was a longtime resident of Winslow, and lived in Henderson County for the past seven years.
He played college basketball for the University of Arizona Wildcats, served as railroad engineer for the Santa Fe and Amtrak for 41 years and was a member of Winslow Lodge #13 A&FM, Temple Chapter No 8 Royal Arch Masonry, and was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Madeline Wickham; a daughter, Sharon Saltz and husband R.F., of Hendersonville, NC; two brothers, G.E. Wickham of Winslow, and A.E. Wickham of Cottonwood; two sisters, Wilma Rothammer of Albuquerque, N.M. and Louella Deetz of San Bemardino, Calif., four grandchildren, Christopher Saltz and Lacey Bloom of Atlanta, and Sharon Off and Cindi Mcadden of Hendersonville, N.C. seven great-grandchildren, Ally, Lindsey, Madison, Anna, Evan, Kaylle and Ava and several nieces and nephews.
This memorial service will be held Thursday, October 6 at 11 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church, 101 E. Hillview. He was a member of the First United Church for over eighty years.
A fimeral service was held at Lake Pointe Landing by Rev. Greg Mathis. Reverend Tweedy Sombreco, well preside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, in Ralph's name. This is a closure for family and friends.
