Farm board meeting set

A District 3 Western Navajo Nation Farm Board meeting will be held 1-4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27 at the Coalmine Canyon Chapter House. Food will be provided.

Boys B-ball tournament

An eighth grade boys 14 & under Basketball Tournament will be held 5-9 p.m. Nov. 25 and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 26 at Tonalea School gym. The entry fee is $130 per team. Awards go to first through third place, MVP and all-tourney. For more information, call Wilson Begay at 928-283-8865.

St. Jude's Xmas Bazaar

St.Jude's Christmas Bazaar will be held 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 in Tuba City. A raffle will be held on a Pendleton blanket. Come join the fun and games. Enjoy delicious food and find gifts for the whole family. Admission is a can of food or a non-perishable item. Tables are $15. Call Dot Himes or Susie Hernandez at 928-283-5391 to reserve a table.

Xmas Bazaar

Artisans and crafters are needed for the Native Harvest Christmas Bazaar and Navajo Taco Sale 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at El Nathan Christian Conference Grounds (across from the Flagstaff Mall, behind Pizza Hut). Food boxes

The Sunshine Rescue Mission will distribute free turkey food boxes Nov. 21-23 and Dec. 21-23 at its facility, 124 S. San Francisco St. in Flagstaff from 1:30-3:30 p.m. A traditional meal will be served at 7 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24 and Christmas Day, Dec. 25, as well as every day of the year. It's too late to sign up for Thanksgiving food boxes, but those needing food box assistance for Christmas can sign up through Dec. 16 at the mission from 2-3 p.m. Monetary donations as well as donations of food, toys, gloves, caps and blankets are being accepted at the mission through Dec. 20 for Christmas. Donations may be mailed to Sunshine Rescue Mission, PO Box 426, Flagstaff, AZ 86002-0426.

H2OPI Run

The H2OPI Run to Mexico City 2006 Committee will meet 7 p.m. Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 at the Kykotsmovi Community Center. All meetings will start @ 7:00 pm. It is mandatory for all runners and committee members to attend. The H2OPI Committee is also selling raffle tickets at $5 each or three for $10. There are over 30 items up for raffle both traditional and modern. The raffle will be held Dec. 23. Please come and support the runners to Mexico City. Panel discussion

A International Day of Action to Stop Global Warming Coal, Water, Wind & Sun Panel Discussion will be held at the Senior and Youth building in Hotevilla on Friday, Dec. 2, noon-2 p.m. This International Day of Action to Stop Global Warming is being held to bring greater awareness to the current issues around different types of energy, including possibilities for transition from an economy based on coal to one based on renewables. This panel discussion will occur in conjunction with events around the country and the world being held to bring emphasis to the United Nation's Climate Conference in Montreal, Canada.
