Martin Frederick Lucero

Holy Rosary for Freddie Lucero, 54, was recited Nov. 21 at Madre De Dios Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 22 at Madre De Dios Catholic Church with Celebrant Father Frank Chacon. Interment followed at Desert View Cemetery.

Freddie passed away Nov. 17 in Cottonwood. He was born in Winslow on Jan. 20, 1951. He was a state champion wrestler for Winslow High School and a Vietnam Veteran.

Freddie was a very loving, caring, kind and compassionate person. He was loved so much by his family and friends. His grandson, Martin, was his pride and joy. He was dedicated to his job as a Union Organizer.

His favorite past times were spending time with family, fishing and going to the movies. He will be missed very much by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cicilia; daughters, Regina, Katherine (Mark), Janice and Maria; sisters, Vickie (Raymond)Gonzales and Patsy (Joe) Bailon; eight grandchildren, Martin, Sergio, Paul, Stepaine, Desirae, Delano, Candi and Amanda; and one great-granddaughter, Cicilia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Lucero and Aurora Lovato.
