TO THE EDITOR
Congratulations Taylor Heath Vargas for being asked to represent Winslow and the United States as a Sports Ambassador in soccer at the People to People Sports Program and games in Holland this July.

The meeting at Little America with the other Arizona athletes who were chosen was so exciting. Just listening to the speakers, watching the film clips and hearing the alumni from Prescott and Camp Verde that have already done this, expressed that it was the best trip of their lives.

Many thanks to GATE teacher Stephanie Peters for the great letter of recommendation and soccer coaches Corrine and her late beloved father, Ambrose Lucero, who worked with you and enjoyed watching you play, the Vasquez brothers and last, but not least, your awesome mom, Cassie, and dad, Lamberto, that have raised you and coached you all along and are still doing it.

Soccer is a great, fun and exciting sport played all around the world and Winslow is proud you did so good and were recognized for it. Good luck in everything you do, Taylor.
