Social Song and Dance

Everyone is welcome to a Benefit Social Song and Dance held Saturday, March 5 at St. Jude’s Church Parish Hall in Tuba City. Registration is at 10 a.m. with the Grand Entry at noon. Awards go to all dancers and group singers. There will also be raffles, concessions, door prizes and a cakewalk. To’nanees’ Dizi Midnighters are hosts and TC Southern Singers are sponsors. NAU Guest Lecture Series

Michele Crank, a member of the Dine (Navajo) Tribe, will give a lecture entitled, “Sacred Duties of Navajo Women” from 6-8 p.m. on March 9. Muriel Scott, a member of the Hopi Tribe, will share her experiences in lecture entitled, “Sacred Duties of Hopi Women” from 6-8 p.m. on March 30. These lectures, presented by the Applied Indigenous Studies Program at Northern Arizona University, will be held in the Southwest Forestry Science Complex on NAU campus, Building 82, Auditorium Room 18.
